Sarah and Kevin's Southern Indiana Wedding

Sarah and Kevin have been together for about 9 years and they have the most beautiful story behind all of the special places and traditions that they decided to incorporate into their beautiful Wedding. I asked Sarah if I could share her words because I love them so much! So, from the Bride herself, here is their story:

"After seeing all of your work from some pretty amazing weddings, we know that we will probably be the most country/rural wedding you will ever shoot! We definitely aren't hillbillies (haha) but we both come from a farm family, grew up on gravel roads, and between both of us, we grew up raising cows, pigs, turkeys, corn, and soybeans. Both of our family farms have been in operation for 100+ years, and we are definitely blessed our parents have continued that tradition! Kevin and I live in the house my great-grandparents built over 100 years ago, which is also where my dad's grain operation resides.

The Boat Club (where the ceremony will take place) is a privately owned property that individual families have shares in. There are various cabins and camp sites located all around the property. Kevin's family's spot, where we first met almost 9 years ago, is just around the bend from where the ceremony will take place. The ceremony site is actually "community" area and boat ramp.

Like I said above, we have been together almost 9 years. When Kevin proposed, it was honestly the most shocking thing I've ever experienced in my life. We always talked about getting married, but he was never in a hurry to do so. I had almost convinced myself it would never happen! Kevin has been in law enforcement for 11 years, and is currently a Detective at the Daviess County Sheriff's Office. I am a federal employee for the Navy, at NSWC Crane, our country's 3rd largest Naval Base. Most people don't even know one would exist in the middle of the country, especially in rural Southern Indiana!"

Kevin and Sarah are so so loved, as was evident by the hundreds of guests that showed up to witness their Wedding, and it was a beautiful beautiful day to have the honor of documenting for them!

They planted a tree during the ceremony using dirt from both of their families farms that been in operation for over 100 years.
