Alexa and Austin's Intimate Backyard Wedding

This is a special Wedding because Alexa is my little sister! There are 6 of us sisters, and she is #4 in the sister lineup. And Austin, well he is an incredible man and there is not a more perfect person for Alexa. We love Austin, and we love Austin and Alexa together!

After Alexa and Austin got engaged, they threw around a bunch of ideas about where and when to get married. Ideas were flying around (Hawaii was even a though at one point!) but in the end, they just wanted to be married and didn't want the hassle of planning a huge Wedding and waiting over a year, so they decided to have a very small, intimate Wedding in Austin's Parents backyard. Only immediate parents, siblings and grandparents were present and it was so beautiful!

The day was calling for 100% chance of rain, so Austin and his (incredible) family scrambled to put tents up the day before the Wedding. We were sure the day would be a wash out, and as we did photos, the skies were black. (You can see them in a few of the photos) It was looming and we were rushing through photos becuase we were sure it would pour at any second, but in a Wedding Day miracle, it held off all night until after dinner. And when it did finally rain, IT POURED!!!!

As the rain was coming down in buckets, the after party was starting and extended family and friends were showing up to join in the celebration! It was a bit chaotic for a bit as everyone was dodging the rain and bringing everything in, but man they took it in stride and everyone had a blast the rest of the evening. A special THANK YOU to Austin's family, they did so much work to make Alexa's vision a reality and we are so grateful she has such an incredible new family!
